The Floating Villages
Dutch architect Chris Collaris and art directors Ruben Esser, Sander Bakker and Patrick van der Gronde, have ideas for oil tankers in the future to serve as complete floating villages. The huge oil tanks can be used for hotels, homes, congress centers and theaters. The walls made of multilayer steel make sure that the climate in the ships is easily controlled. Consideration must be given to issues such as health and strong currents, but Chris is confident.
