Proudly Served by Deaf Partners

If you are deaf, there are a few people who taken account of you. It can not be seen when people are deaf and many people do not realize there are people who are deaf. But in Kuala Lumpur, you can order coffee in sign language by Starbucks.

There opens a Starbucks with only deaf or hearing impaired staff. Team Starbucks consists of ten hearing impaired people and three good hearing people. Orders can be done in sign language or through a special form. On a screen above the bar, you can see when your order is ready. The intention was to create a work area for people with hearing problems. I think it is a great initiative. In the Netherlands deaf people are often taken into account, but not yet in the coffee branches. Would there be support for something like that in the Netherlands?
